Data Protection

In accordance with the Federal Data Protection Act (FDPA), we are responsible for the processing of your personal data, collected in a secure “client file” system. Your data allows us to handle the advising and management of your insurance contracts. For any processing of your data outside the scope of our mandate of insurance advice and management, we are required to inform you.

As part of our activity, we inform you that we only transmit your data to third parties designated as data recipients, who are mainly insurers (tender requests) and pension foundations (LPP). These entities may, if necessary, request additional information about you from external specialists such as doctors, engineers, corporate economists, etc. This information is used to determine the benefits they must grant or insure. Under no circumstances are these companies our subcontractors, and therefore we cannot be held responsible for the processing of your data in their possession.

For any mandate signed with Unigesta through one of our subcontractors, your data will be processed by Unigesta according to the procedure described above, but we cannot be held responsible for the data provided to subcontractors.

In accordance with Art. 3 of the Data Protection Ordinance (DPO), the necessary technical and organizational measures have been taken to ensure data retention and to best protect the confidentiality of your digital data. These security measures include file restoration (backup), anti-intrusion protection, monitoring and blocking of misuse and tampering. A set of hardware and software tools, along with structured databases, have been rigorously installed. Data processing is carried out within our own environment, without storage on any public cloud. All our employees contribute to information system security according to their respective competencies.

The client undertakes to inform Unigesta of any changes to personal data to ensure proper management of the insurance advisory and management mandate.

At the end of a mandate, the data is retained for a legal period of ten years (longer depending on specific circumstances).

You nevertheless have the right to access your “client file”, and request its modification or deletion within the limits provided by law.
